Artur Stoll (born June 11, 1947 in Freiburg im Breisgau; died March 4, 2003) was a German painter, sculptor, and object artist. Artur Stoll was born in Freiburg. After graduating from high school, he studied art history in Freiburg and interned with Peter Dreher. From 1969 to 1975, he studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe under Peter Herkenrath, Horst Antes, Franz Bernhard, and Emil Schumacher.
At the beginning of his artistic career, he focused on drawing and sculpting, only turning to painting later in 1973. While still a student, he had an important and groundbreaking double exhibition with Stephan Balkenhol at the Kunsthalle Baden-Baden (1973). Further prizes and honors followed.
In 1982, he married Petra Deeg. In 2016, Artur-Stoll-Weg in Ehrenkirchen was named after him.
