Reinhold Braun was born in Karlsruhe in 1961.
From 1982 to 1988 he studied painting at the academies of arts in Karlsruhe and Düsseldorf under Professor Markus Lüpertz. In 1988 he graduated as a master student. Since 1988 he has been working as a freelance painter. From 2007 to 2011 he taught painting at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and from 2004 to 2014 at the Kunst Akademie Bad Reichenhall (Bavaria). Since 2015 he has been a lecturer at the Kunst Akademie Kolbermoor (Bavaria).
The artist’s works have already been shown in numerous national (e.g. Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Schwäbisch Hall) and international exhibitions (e.g. France, Great Britain, Greece, Monaco, Austria, Chile). His works can be found in public and private collections, such as VEBA Kunstsammlung, städtische Galerie Karlsruhe, Regierungspräsidium Baden-Württemberg, as well as banks and insurance companies in Germany.
